There are two questions frequently asked:
What do women find attractive in men?
And…
How can I be more masculine?
Since the answers to these questions are inextricably related, we’ll talk about both here.
Many of us – both women and men – are just sure there must be other choices between the bad boy and the nice guy. But, nowadays, it often really does feel that these are the only two options out there.
As you have probably figured out by now, I spend at least half of my life talking about what makes a great guy and answering one question: What do women find attractive about men?
I can tell you this: he is not some kiss-up, wussified nice guy, and he is not some cold-hearted, abusive bad boy. He is a respectable, quality human being who exudes the essence of masculinity at all times. And, it is important to note that the essence of masculinity has nothing to do with being macho or slaying dragons. At some points in history it might have meant that, but most of us are far past that archaic thinking by now.
There are six components to true masculinity that are adored and appreciated by women around the world. I am going to spell them out for you here, so that you will never again be left wondering…
What do women find attractive in men?
Here goes:
1. Assist with Strength
Women are much more independent these days, which can be confusing for men. It can seem difficult to decipher when a woman will appreciate assistance and when she will be annoyed by it. But, the women you want to attract appreciate a guy who will carry her suitcase, reach the book on the top shelf and open the peanut butter jar for her. Proudly provide your assistance – when appropriate – and she will appreciate it. And, if she doesn’t, she’s probably not the girl for you.
2. Assert with Strength
Be assertive when necessary, particularly when it will be of assistance to someone who could use a little help. For example, if you see someone – anyone – being unfairly treated, step up and say something about it. Do not wait for a chance to help out a woman you find attractive, just get used to being assertive and handling situations when they arise. You never know when you might be helping out a stranger, only to have an attractive woman take in the entire scene while standing nearby.
This isn’t about being pushy or being a jerk; it’s about taking care of business in a calm, resolute manner. You know when someone is being taken advantage of or when someone needs someone else to stand up for them. Masculine men are always ready and willing to fight the good fight – so to speak – by taking control of a situation and handling it in a civil, direct manner.
3. Attend with Strength
What do women find attractive about men? Women like kept promises, a willingness to apologize, dependability and trustworthiness. Keep your word, always do what you say you will do and show a woman that she can trust what you say. This helps you build a solid foundation of safety and trust, which will take you far with women. When they know that they can believe you when you say that you are going to handle something, they will know that you are trustworthy and dependable.
This has nothing to do with being predictable or being a pushover. It also has nothing to do with being owned or bossed around by the women in your life. If that is happening to you, you are having a hard time fully understanding this concept. This is about leadership, being a man and showing the strength that lies at the core of your character.
4. Align with Strength
While attending with strength is all about your actions and behavior, aligning with strength is a larger concept that has to do with your core character. This one is about the consistency and alignment of your beliefs, values and thoughts, which are what results in your words and actions.
The concept of aligning with strength is all about the correspondence of who you are as a person and how you come across to others. When it comes to answering the question of what do women find attractive about men, this is a biggie.
5. Assume with Strength
Making assumptions generally gets a bad rap, but we aren’t talking about coming to unwarranted assumptions that would make anyone look less than intelligent. What we are talking about is confidence. The men who are no longer asking questions like what do women find attractive in men are the ones who are confident and strong enough to assume approval, and to even assume that women are attracted to them. This absolutely exudes the essence of masculinity, strength, dignity and confidence.
6. Anticipate with Strength
The guys who have a plan and know where they are going are the guys who no longer have to ask themselves, “Just what do women find attractive about men anyways?” This includes both short- and long-term plans. Not only does this mean that you should have a life plan, but it also means that you should know where you are going when you pick a woman up for a date.
Women like men who have plans.
Some people think that women like rich guys. But, here’s the deal: being rich means that you have ambition, and it’s that ambition that women are attracted to.
However, you need more than just a simple plan; you have to anticipate. Masculine guys that attract women are the ones who have their plans mapped out several steps in advance and who anticipate factors that might affect their plans. This way, they are ready for whatever comes their way and can handle it. These guys are the ones who always have jumper cables or a Swiss Army knife just when they are needed the most.
A guy who combines #5 and #6 displays leadership, which is also attractive to women. This guy’s got the moves and the wisdom to handle whatever goes down.
There is a reason why all six of these include the word strength. I did this on purpose to help you come to terms with what women see as strength, as opposed to the conventional male understanding of what it is.
When guys think about what makes a guy masculine or strong, they usually end up coming up with stuff like physical strength, wealth, power, speed or world domination. This is where most guys go wrong when trying to answer the age-old question of, “What do women find attractive in men?”
Women do want masculine men, and they do want men who exhibit strength, but they aren’t talking about the kind of traits that men put in these categories. They are talking about the six aspects of strength of character mentioned above.
What do women find attractive about men? They like a guy who owns his masculinity and exudes strength of character every second of the day. This really isn’t such a tall order. All you have to do is work on transforming your inherent manhood into a workable way of walking through the world that will be sure to attract women everywhere you go.
